Larry O’Brien is co-founder of the OB-C Group, a prominent lobbying firm in Washington, DC. Prior to establishing the business in 1993, he was a full equity partner in the law firm of Dewey Ballantine.

Selected by The Hill newspaper as one of Washington’s “Top Lobbyists” in its first survey in 2007, he has been chosen every year subsequently. Since 2006, he has served as Chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee’s “Legacy Circle,” its highest level individual contributor program.

Larry is a founding incorporator, original board member, and past President of the National Archives Foundation. The Lawrence F. O’Brien Gallery space in the National Archives opened in 2004 and is dedicated in honor of his deceased father.

Larry is also the managing general partner of Solterra Resources LP, an investment partnership. In 1969-1970, he served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star. A native of Springfield, Massachusetts, he is a long-time resident of Washington, DC.
