Molly Moynihan is a Washington, DC-based lawyer at Perkins Coie, LLC, where she most recently served on the firm’s management and executive committees and co-chairs the investment management practice group. Molly specializes in the representation of the independent directors of mutual fund complexes. She speaks and publishes frequently on topics relating to risk management, mutual fund regulation, and the intersection of securities laws and fintech. Molly is active in various pro bono projects, in particular with respect to juvenile “lifers” and female offenders.
Molly serves on the Sub-Committee on Investment Companies and Investment Advisers of the American Bar Association. She holds a BA with highest honors from Wesleyan University, a JD with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, and an LLM in International Law from the University of London. Molly served as a law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Texas Supreme Court.
