Marissa Maggio joined the National Archives Foundation in March 2024 and brings a breadth of experience in strategic communications; social impact, philanthropy, and advocacy; and media relations and storytelling, with additional strengths in executive positioning, event planning, and project management. In her current role, she is focused on developing the Foundation’s capital campaign and building a holistic stewardship strategy.

Before joining the Foundation, Marissa served in diverse roles at prominent communications firms and nonprofits, with additional experience interning at an international organization and on Capitol Hill. She holds a BA in International Relations from Syracuse University and an MSc in Media, Communications, and Development from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE). 

Outside of work, Marissa is an arts advocate and can usually be found in a dance studio, and occasionally, on a stage. She resides in Washington, DC with her Cocker Spaniel, Finn.
