The  National Archives Museum was named the Best Venue for Formal Affairs in the 2018 Unique Venues Best of Awards. As a leading voice in the event and hospitality industry, Unique Venues recognizes the best event venues across the United States and Canada each year with their Best of Awards.

“We are honored that the National Archives Museum is being recognized as a top event space in the nation by such a distinguished leader in the hospitality sector,” said Executive Director of the National Archives Foundation Patrick Madden. “From its rich American history, to its spectacular architecture and event spaces, attending an event at the National Archives Museum is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.”

Madden accepted the award on October 23 at the Unique Venues Annual Member Conference in Portland, Ore. The National Archives Museum was nominated for the award among nine other organizations from eight states. As this year’s winner, the National Archives Museum will be recognized in the Best of Unique Venues Magazine.

Event spaces at the National Archives Museum include the Rotunda Galleries, Visitor Orientation Plaza, William G. McGowan Theater, Presidential Conference Center and the Archivist’s Reception Room. According to Unique Venues, these event spaces within the historic museum in the nation’s capital are ideally suited for events ranging from elegant receptions and gala dinners to board meetings, lectures, film screenings and corporate events.
