Fay Hartog-Levin is a distinguished fellow at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and a trustee of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation in Baltimore, MD.

She served as the 65th ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of the Netherlands (2009-2011) and was knighted by the King of the Netherlands in 2018.

Ambassador Levin is a member of the board of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and is a member of the Harris School of Public Policy’s Leadership Council. Previously, Levin was a member of the Board of WTTW-WFMT, The Roosevelt Institute, and the Arts Alliance Illinois. She also has served on the board of trustees of the Merit School of Music, DePaul University, and Columbia College Chicago.

Ambassador Levin has been honored by the Illinois Arts Alliance (2013) and Loyola Law School (2016) both for distinguished community service. Ambassador Levin is a graduate of Northwestern University (BA) and Loyola School of Law (JD). She received an honorary LLM from Knox College.
