Commemorate July 4th with a gift to the Foundation

Celebrated each year on July 4th, Independence Day is a critical reminder of the day our great country was founded and all that came after the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

Starting with the first July 4th fireworks display in Philadelphia in 1777, presidents and everyday citizens alike have developed holiday traditions. From local parades and concerts to baseball games, footraces, and picnics, many of these customs have been shared among Americans for generations.

Help us commemorate July 4th with a gift to the National Archives Foundation.

  • Make a donation of $17.76 in celebration of our independence, or
  • $56 to honor the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence, or
  • $248 in recognition of our country’s perseverance for the past 248 years.

Made possible by your contributions, the Foundation preserves and shares the stories behind our nation’s founding and how they have shaped us as Americans.

As a bonus, those who give $56 or $248 to commemorate July 4th will receive National Level ($60+) or Madison Level ($250+) annual benefits, respectively, to support the National Archives. This grants donors special privileges, including priority admission to the National Archives Museum, invitations to donors-only events, a 10% discount at the National Archives Store, and more.

Use the form below to make your contribution, and we thank you for doing your part to celebrate our American traditions.
